Monthly Archives: June 2012

Last Monday at Work

I woke up early
And wrote docs upon request
I would soon be done

Family Dinner

A Father’s Day gift
For the first time in two weeks
We are all back home

Going Back in Time

We crashed the party
But the language was foreign
So we watched the show

Friday Night Show

The boy built the scene,
Backdrop, flashlight and story
A glimpse of his thoughts

Letting Go

Drift away slowly
From work tasks, not the people
They’ve been my anchor

40’s Success

Deflected old age
I cleared my eye appointment
With no bifocals

Last Days

The muffled sounds seep
Into thoughts, I slip away
Waiting for the end

Family Time

Happy to have time
With one child but I do so
Miss our little girl

Return Home

He spoke, we listened
His word choice danced in the air
We enjoyed the sound

Planting Complete

Flowers nestled in
To the bed that we made up
No more sleeping bags
