Work Hours

When I should have been
Tucked in bed, fast asleep, I
Was on a bridge call

Art a Whirl

Traipsed through a downpour
To see our neighbor’s paintings
Closest local art

Couple Day

Twenty thousand steps
Offset the supper club meal
Like life before kids

Time with Kids

My two grade school kids
Move along without set plans
So I can float too

Chatter

I hate perceptions
And rumors – I could care less
I think on my own

Diversion Stopped

A cancelled meeting
Shoe loathing sent me shopping
Then battery died

Hostile Takeover

Heat took out winter
After a long cold strangle
A sun scorched spring day

Mondays

Always fall asleep
Monday, after the work day
Maybe just to dream

Mother’s Day 2013

I didn’t plan it
So there was no plan. We had
A normal Sunday

Saturday by Car

The car shielded us
From icy wind as we drove
In all directions
