A Monday in Fall

I read on the couch
Cold air walks through the back door
Wrapped in throws, sleep strikes

Misbehaving Cats

If our cats could speak
Words would convey their distress
Instead of their pee

But Now It’s Different

At Rosh Hashanah
He bashed new immigrants yet
Saw no irony

Running the Uptown Play

Kids at sleep overs
We made our trek to Uptown
To fill our free time

Work/Home DMZ

Raised voices at work
A cucumber martini
Squelches the echo

Big Old Workshop

IBM is big
Just see how many show up
To rehash old plans

Weekdays

An all day meeting
At home, I race each minute
One more day passes

Words

The project soaked in
The ooze of bad behavior
Choice words pulled the plug

Book Junkie

Sunday slipped away
I read Lolita instead
Of making dinner

Sleepy Saturday

Friday slid into
Saturday and wouldn’t leave
My sleep was bulldozed
