It’s one thing to write and flinch
Now they will be read

Our Uptown streets pinched
Shrunk by unplowable snow
Thanks traffic calming

Delayed holiday
Upon our return to home
The season now ends

Leave Palm Springs’s mountains
Grab our trusty snow shovels
To reclaim our space

Serial voting
While their jobs wait for these games
Congress at its best?

Without the sun’s rays
We slow walk through the day’s hours
Until feeding times

While watching YouTube
We extend the trip for two
Snow fell on our plans

A distant voice joins
Our day drinking excursion
It’s our escapade
