Pause then plan what’s next

Pages fill with the year’s voice
It’s our time capsule

The week crawls away
With work grabbing my time first
Leaves enough for friends

A chilly lake walk
Escape with a chatty friend
Before work claimed time

Fog drenched the day’s start
The haze from yesterday hangs
One step, then the next
