My visions of time
Crashed as work filled my workday
December crunch time

Couch welcomed us back
Then the cats joined and trapped us
And there was no fight

Nooks slowly return
As we reset the room’s stage
Fresh paint and blinds watch

The outlet went dark
After the painting ruckus
It’s the old house tax

She weaves through New York
Her last collegiate birthday
Pass through her phases    

In our movie scene
We raced to the train platform
For a rushed goodbye
